Used to be 4 bucks, then 5 bucks.......I will be paying the drivers between 5 and 6 dollars per delivery. We have a great group of drivers every holiday. We pay them more based on how far they have to travel in their route. For those routes that are far away, we send our regular drivers there- based on hourly rates. For the most part, we can get 150 orders delivered before 2pm....and beg FTD and Teleflora for more orders before paying and letting our holiday drivers go home. They use their own vehicles....and love us!!

we hire drivers using their own auto. I have been advised that they are considered contract drivers and we do not take any taxes out of their pay. We do take their drivers license address etc and give that info to our insurance rep. We pay by the piece delivered (about $5 per), this stops the driver from taking many coffee breaks on my dime.

we pay $5.00 per delivery when they use their own vehicle. My regular driver will be working in the shop this year, so the relief driver gets paid by the hour and she will be doing all the deliveries that are longer distance to drive as well as the ones that have 6 - 10 deliveries to the same address. We have a customer that sends all his staff flowers, my relief driver will do those because we only charge 1 delivery fee for all those orders.
